XXL renovation of Métro line A : the final stretch

Greater comfort, improved traffic flow, more space !

Due to its success, Métro line A, which went into service in 1993, could no longer effectively meet demand during peak travel times. Consequently, modernisation work began in 2017 to improve traveller comfort and safety.

At the end of this year, Métro line A will be able to cater for 400,000 passengers (compared with 220,000 today).
Find out exactly what the work entails.

When the Métro stops running earlier, the work progresses faster !

The Métro will run a partial service or be completely shut down on certain days from April to November 2019.
In order to facilitate your travel during the modernisation work, Tisséo Voyageurs is putting in place shuttle-bus lines, taking into account the different periods during which the Métro service will be shut down.

Tests before final re-opening !

The new, larger trains will be tested in actual operating conditions on 10 and 11 November.
Métro A will be completely shut down from Sunday 10 [5:15 am] to Monday 11 November [midnight].
Bus 14 will not be running during these two days.
